What Men Has Got To Watch For When It Comes To Their Health
Younger men seem
to think that their youth and vitality will
go on forever. That is so until they first
feel the effects of aging. Young men are so
used to active lifestyles. Men do all kinds
of things, work, play sports and entertain.
They are sexually active as well. All of these,
men would like to keep on doing for a long
time. To be able to do this, maintaining men’s
health and fitness is imperative.
Many diseases are common to both sexes and
to all ages. However, there are also some
diseases quite specific to men. Perhaps this
is because men’s hormones are quite
different to women and men’s bodies
changes quite differently as well. Most men’s
diseases are relative to age and to men’s
practices in life.
Cardiac arrest and stroke, for instance, is
one of the most common killers of men. This
is obviously age related. But men should take
care of their heart so they can maintain a
healthy heart and a healthy body.
Another one is cancer. With the way men are
living today, it is almost quite expected.
Men are exposed to oxidative stress. And with
we are eating, our bodies cannot just cope.
That’s why men’s diet should really
be corrected. Men should strike a balance
in everything they take in. Fruits and vegetables
are quite healthy because they are good sources
of antioxidants. Others also have anti-inflammatory
properties so they help cure infections and
inflammation like what men experience in their
prostate glands. Men, as they grow older,
are likely to suffer from BPH, Benign Prostatic
Hypertrophy. This disease can possibly create
an obstruction in urination and also cause
renal functions to fail. That is if this disease
goes on without treatment. Survey shows that
men aging 85 years old and above have 90%
chances of having this disease. Younger men
with ages 35 years old and below, however,
usually don’t get until they are older.
This does not mean though that they have the
license not to maintain a balanced and complete
diet. Men’s health and fitness is should
be properly maintained as early as possible
to prevent diseases and to grow old more gracefully.
If you feel that you are exempted from this,
you are wrong. If you are very healthy and
very active outside and inside the house and
the bedroom now, it won’t go on forever.
One day your health will take a toll on you
if you don’t treat your body right.
Again, eating right is the first and foremost
thing. You should have enough rest and sleep.
And you also have to drink lots of water to
keep yourself healthy. Exercising regularly
is a requirement too.
Since older men have these hormonal changes
and all that, men may also need men’s
health supplements. This will help complete
what your diet lacks. Having enough vitamins
and minerals is important because it will
boost your immune system and keep you healthy
and fit as well. By eating right and regular
healthy workout, men can remain strong and
fit even with old age.
